My name is Samuel Clarice Mui Shen Ern (any pronouns), an assemblage of borderless fragments whose practice revolves around creating embodied rituals of decolonization and integration through game design, sound design, performance, audiovisual generation, and divination.
I seek the liberation of the self through the creation of ritual spaces, where the pains, trauma, bondages, and histories you suffer are acknowledged, validated, and healed through action.
I seek for both you and me to find the ability to create new, liberating realities for ourselves beyond the violent dehumanization of neoliberal capital and fascism.
I speak not as authority but as an imperfect converser and explorer - seeking a queerness beyond queerness and an otherness beyond otherness.
I am not a soup can. I am not a marginalized identity created to be neatly packaged in civility and nobility. I am not a commodity to be sold. I am not just Southeast Asian. I am not just Queer. I am not just a migrant. I am all that and everything more. I am not a soup can.
I hope to be a blessing and an edifying song to the lives of those I encounter as much as they have been a blessing to me.
Do you see God in the wind?
