This zine is a collection of microgames I designed between the years 2018 and 2020, just before the start of COVID. These games mark my first proper experiments with using roleplaying design to process and talk about real-life experiences.

Like most microgames, these games focus on capturing a specific emotion or experience, using minimal mechanical design and giving lots of space for player input and expression. 

I think of these games as a way to talk about the stuff that’s hard to talk about. As a designer, I genuinely believe in the ability of games to provide productive spaces where players can also find catharsis and understand themselves better, empowering them to live life more fully.

I hope you will benefit from reading and playing these games and that you yourself will be encouraged to use game design as a tool for your own betterment.
